If I looked back on my search history, the terms “Blake Lively Makeup” or “Serena Van Der Woodsen Makeup” would appear the most. I was completely Gossip Girl obsessed in college and beyond, and I’ve always thought that Blake’s makeup, on and off screen, was sheer perfection. Her signature look incorporates a light shimmer shadow on the inner corners of the eyes, glowing pink cheeks and glossed lips.
Here’s what I did, I hope you enjoy!
Face: I applied my new favorite base product, L’Oreal’s B.B. Cream with fingertips, adding a bit extra to problem areas. To further cover blemishes and dark circles, I applied my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. Lastly I applied my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light through the center of my face.
Eyes: Blake is often wearing shimmering golds and browns, so the Urban Decay Naked Palette is perfect for achieving this type of look. I started by applying Naked all over my lids as a base, and then applied Half Baked all over my lids, up to the crease. To add depth I mixed Smog and Darkhorse and applied this mixture to the outer half of the crease, as well as on my lower lash line. To achieve Blake’s signature inner corner highlight I used a mixture of Virgin and Sin. To define my upper lash line I applied a thin line of my Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er Precision Pen and lastly, to complete the look, I applied several coats of Maybelline The Falsies Mascara.
Cheeks: To contour and warm up my face I applied Jouer’s Mattifying Bronzer in Sunswept underneath my cheekbones, on my temples, and across my nose and forehead. For gorgeous, glowing pink cheeks I dabbed Le Metier de Beaute Creme Fresh Tint for Lip and Cheek in Poppy to the apples of my cheeks, blending upwards.
Lips: For a glossy, pink pout I used Mac Plushglass in Posh It Up.
